Halloween

What a fun night we had. We spent it at our ward Trunk-or Treat. Ray & Jerry (Richard's parents) are our wards activities chairmen and they did a great job. We ate good food, had a costume parade (where Richard & I won a prize) and did the whole trunk or treat thing.
We sure made a cute clown couple, we thought so anyway.

Trevon wanted to dress up as something where no one would know who he was. I suggested that he go as a witch because no one would guess that. He looked pretty spooky.

Fieldtrip with Camdon

Don't ask me what I did to get these pictures in such a crazy order because I have no idea. Anyhow, I went on a fieldtrip with Camdon's class today. It was super fun and very educational. We went to an Arizona state park, 'Boyce Thompson Arboretum'. We learned all about trees, bushes, leaves and fun things that grow. Below is the group that I was over. They were good boys. Dallin, Elijah, Camdon, Jacob & Dallin.

Studying the leaves and trying to group similar kinds. They also got to do some artwork with leaves. It was pretty cool. Camdon has decided that this is what he wants to do now when he grows up. Our guide was great, very friendly.

We got to see some really neat things. Look at this tree with the roots growing above ground.

We thought that the bark on this tree was so interesting.

A view of the mountains & a sun we found painted on the ground.

Another view of the mountains & some beautiful wildflowers that the butterflies really liked.

Oh, and just an interesting side note. The last time I went to this place was when I was in elementary school on a field trip. Weird, huh?

Pumpkin Carving

We were the only 3 interested in carving a pumpkin this year. Richard & Jaron were party poopers. We had fun with it.
Here is Camdon with his pumpkin below.
Notice our Halloween gingerbread house.
We think that it's pretty cool!

Trevon with his pumpkin.
It looks really cool lit up.

Here I am with mine.

Oh, and we roasted our seeds in the oven.
They are so Yummy!

Primary Program

This last Sunday was our Primary Program. It sure turned out great. I cried through half of it. It is different when you are sitting up on the stand with the kids. I was watching the parents as their children would get up to say their part. Alot of parents would get emotional or they were beaming with pride and it just got to me to see all of the love in that room. It made me think of how much our Heavenly Father must love all of us. Anyway, it was wonderful. They always are. Here is Camdon's part, he actually wrote it. 'In the Doctrine & Covenants, section 59, verse 7 we read, "Thou shalt thank the Lord thy God in all things." I think that one of the best ways that we can do this is through prayer. This is how we communicate with our Heavenly Father. It is important to be grateful for all that we have because everything we have comes through him. Some of the things that I am most thankful for are; my family, my friends, pizza, games and my scriptures. As children of God we need to remember to thank our Heavenly Father in our prayers every day.' We sure do love this boy!

A fun night

We were invited over to a friends house this evening to make caramel apples and watch 'Monster House'. We had such a good time. How often do you eat caramel apples? They were such a yummy, fall treat. The movie was good, and again family appropriate. They were mentioning how fun it would be to watch a Halloween movie every night until Halloween. It was mentioned that ET would be a good one. Remember, they dressed ET up as a ghost and took him trick or treating? What other movies do you think would be good to watch with your family?

Fall Carnival

Last night we went to Camdon's school Fall Carnival. It was so much fun! They had all kinds of fun things for the kids to do like; pie eating contest, sand art, petting zoo, rock climbing wall, bowling, those bouncy blow up things, a fun house, cupcake walk, & so on. The best one of course was the face painting station which is what I was in charge of. It was alot of work. There were 4 of us painting all night long. Here is Camdon with his 'spiderman' face. Pretty cool, eh?

Nana's funeral

On Tuesday we attended the funeral of Richard's grandma better known as Nana. It really was a beautiful day. A long day of driving but the weather just couldnt have been better. Even though funerals can be so emotional they usually make for a really great day. The reason for this is that you are surrounded by family, people you love. Often they are people you havent seen for some time and it is kindof like a reunion in a way.
Richard & some of his family members built this beautiful casket for her. These were the colors in her bedroom which she loved. She specifically asked for a gray casket with mauve lining. It was a truly a 'labor of love'.

I just love this picture of Tatum & Camdon rubbing noses.

Richard was honored to be a pallbearer.
Here is another cute picture. Camdon with two of his cousins that he just loves to hang out with. When we go to reunion each year, these three are inseperable.

There was a large turnout & it was evident how loved Nana is.

Later in life.

Nana as our kids know her.

A visit to ShowLow

Camdon and I headed up to ShowLow for a couple days while they were hunting. We hung out with LL, Kamrielle and Carder. A big thank you to LL for letting us all crash at her place. She was the camp cook for all those hunters and entertained us as well.
Here is Richard watching Spy Kids 2 with Kamrielle.
Poor little Carder was eating his hard ole zwieback toast while the rest of us were eating pizza. Aunt Marcy felt bad for him and let him suck on a pizza crust (you know the part the kids never want). He absolutely loved it, as you can see below.

This dinosaur costume was one of Camdon's old ones. We took up to give to them so Carder could wear it in a year or two. Well, little Miss Kamrielle wanted to wear it all the time! She does make a pretty cute dinosaur.

Aunt Marcy painted her toe nails hot pink with silver polka dots and her finger nails silver with hot pink polka dots. It turned out really cute.

She loved it!

Yo, home boy!
