Our Evening with the Turley clan

This afternoon we met at Richard's parents home to celebrate the September birthdays.

We do a really cool thing with the Turley's. I think it all started when Kellie had attended a few funerals and she thought, why do we wait for people to die before we say all the wonderful things that everybody loved about them. We need to tell people when they are alive. So, we started this "Life Celebration" thing. Today we celebrated Jim, and we go around the room and everybody shares what they love about Jim. They can talk about characteristics, share stories, or something along these lines. We have done all but two members of the family now and we have video recorded them all. It has been a really neat thing and I would highly reccomend that you start something like this in your family. It really has been great!
